Could you use veneers?
If you have an issue with your teeth that is simply aesthetic in nature, you may benefit from porcelain veneers. One common example is discolored teeth. Porcelain veneers can cover the stained tooth, or one that had a root canal, and create a brighter smile. Teeth that have chips or other irregularities can also be fixed by the use of porcelain veneers.
What is the procedure?
At Serenity Dental, the staff generally only requires two visits for you to have the perfect smile you want. During the first visit, your tooth/teeth will be prepared for the veneer by reducing some of the enamel on your teeth and taking impressions of them for the lab to use in creating the porcelain enamel. A temporary veneer will be placed on the tooth/teeth until you get the permanent ones.
Once the veneers are back from the lab, you will go back and get the permanent veneers. These porcelain veneers are more or less permanent, so any changes to the veneers will be noted and made before you get the permanent ones in. Once they’re in, that’s the smile you have, so you’ll be able to make sure it’s exactly to your liking.
Veneers are great for many issues with teeth that affect the aesthetics. The porcelain veneers used by Serenity Dental won’t have any dangerous chemicals in them, and they won’t have any negative effect on your ability to bite down or perform any other normal function of the teeth. If you think that your smile could benefit from porcelain veneers, schedule an appointment with Serenity Dental today!
